Biography

Valentina Fornari graduated in piano at the “F. Bonporti ”of Trento and in 2008 she obtained the 2nd level academic diploma in piano with full marks. Alongside her musical studies, she graduated in Psychiatric Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Verona. She specializes in Music Therapy at the Department of the University of Bristol (UK) and graduates in Music Education at the F. E. Dall'Abaco Conservatory in Verona and in Chamber Music at the Trento Conservatory with full marks and honors.

Awarded in over 60 national and international competitions (Trani, Osimo, Albenga, Pisa, Ovada, Vasto, Tagliolo Monferrato, etc.), she has a brilliant concert career with a predilection for chamber music that led her to perform in the most important Italian cities. She recently played for the Embassy of Madrid, Finland at the International Music Meeting Suomitaly and for which she regularly holds masterclasses, in Germany, France. She performed with the "Benacus Chamber Orchestra", the "Zabados Ensemble" conducted by Maestro Andrea Battistoni, the "Dumitrescu" Orchestra of Valcea, the "Dodekacordon" Orchestra of Verona.

She has collaborated with the soprano Stefania Bonfadelli, the violinist Vadim Brodsky, the first violin and first cello of the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona Foundation, and is a pianist of the Visconti Ensemble with which he performs regularly.

She attended the masterclasses of the masters Nelson Delle Vigne, Peter Lang, Andrea Lucchesini, Massimiliano Damerini, Riccardo Risaliti, Carlo Fabiano, Philipp von Steinaecker, Roberto Prosseda, Rocco Filippini at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona.

She enthusiastically dedicates herself to piano teaching: from 2003 to today her students have won more than 350 prizes in national and international competitions and are regularly called to perform for important Italian and foreign cultural associations (Palacio Municipal de Madrid for Queen Sofia, in Padua alongside the “Solisti Veneti”, for the Italian Red Cross, for Unicef, for the Fazioli Concert hall in Sacile and many others).

She has received recognition and prizes for teaching, as a teacher with the largest number of students awarded in numerous national and international piano competitions and is regularly invited to hold master classes at the ACM Rospigliosi Association in Marina di Pietrasanta (LU).

In 2019 she took part as a juror in the ArticPianoFest 2019 in Rovaniemi (Lapland) and in the Diapason D’Oro competition in Pordenone.

She is the founder of the Amadeus Piano Duo together with the pianist Alberto Nosè with whom she has an intense concert activity, and has an active record for the Amadeus Sound Project label with music for 4 hands piano by F. Schubert , T. Gouvy, N. Kapustin and M. Ravel.

She is founder and president of the Amadeus Academy in Valeggio sul Mincio, artistic director of the Benacus Chamber Orchestra and of the international piano competition Amadeus Competition in Lazise.

Since 2010 she has been an adjunct professor of "Music therapy and techniques of artistic and expressive derivation" at the University of Medicine and Surgery of Verona.

She is professor of piano propaedeutics at the F. E. Dall’Abaco Conservatory of Verona and principal piano teacher at the A. Buzzolla Conservatory of Adria (RO).
